SIMPLY BHANGRA
BhangraCeilidh 2005. A very exciting project integrating Bhangra and Ceilidh music and dance culture. Delivered by TAPS with the Punjabi Folk Company's lead artist, this ten weeks residential project integrated Bhangra and Irish Celeidh dances with dhol beats and English folk tunes. The project premiered at John Manson School in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This project is available for School bookings. Please contact TAPS or Punjabi Folk Company for more information.
CIAO Festival 2005. Bhangra dance workshops for the Children's International Arts Festival at Southhill Park Arts Centre Bracknell.
Lifelong Learning (2003-04). A Bhangra dance project for women in Berkshire. This one-year project was funded by Lifelong Learning and delivered by the Punjabi Folk Company in partnership with Norden Farm Centre for the Arts Maidenhead.
Southsea Arts Centre Portsmouth. A one-week Bhangra dance project with Porthsmouth and South East Hampshire Multicultural Group.
Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead. Regular dance classes for one year, in addition to many successful workshops.
Ethno England, Yorkshire. World music and dance workshops and seminar.
Woodcroft Primary School, Edgware, London. A one-week residency with 400 students.(2005)
Lord Williams's School, Oxfordshire. A one- week residency with 500 students.(2004)
